Effects of coronavirus paragraph (200 words)

The most talked about topic at the moment is the corona virus. This has created huge obstacles in our various sectors. Until 1 September 2021, according to UNESCO, the closure of educational institutions has affected 1.2 billion students worldwide (68.0 percent of the world’s total enrolled students). Bangladesh is no exception. All educational institutions in the country have been closed since March 16. Undoubtedly, the direct and most immediate effect of COVID-19 on education is the loss of learning opportunities. About 38.0 million students (including the primary 17.0 million) are now out of school. COVID-19 has largely shut down regular academic courses for about 40.0 million students across the country. However, the loss of schooling is not the only effect of the Covid-19 crisis. On top of education, schools are an important source of social protection, nutrition, health as well as psychosocial support for children and young adults. So, on top of the learning disadvantages, school closure has far-reaching effects on social and economic issues such as school dropouts, digital divisions, food insecurity and malnutrition, child care as well as disability services.
